City of Manor Update Regarding Ambulance Services

Manor was recently featured News 8 Austin story about ambulance service delays in our area. The story inaccurately stated that the City of Manor was responsible for providing ambulance services to its citizens. Unfortunately, in Travis County, ambulance services are handled solely by the county in conjunction with the City of Austin. If you have any further questions about this situation, please e-mail them to questions@cityofmanor.org.

Rattlesnake Killed in Shadowglen

There are many stories currently circulating about the rattlesnake that was killed in Manor on 7/29/2009. Here are a few facts to set the record straight:

It was in the backyard of a house, and NOT inside.

It was killed with a 410 shotgun.

The snake had just consumed a full-grown rabbit.

We did not measure the snake but the Chief of Police (in the picture) is 6’1’’

If you have any questions about this incident, please contact the Manor Police Department at (512) 272-8177 or police@cityofmanor.org
