The City of Manor uses an emergency notification system called Code Red to alert our residents in the event of an emergency. The City of Manor has been using this system for boil water notices for the past two years. The system can call up to 1,000 homes a minutes and can typically reach all of the residents in Manor within 5 minutes. If you did not receive a notification from this system with our last boil water notice on Wednesday, please update your contact information here. While working on a bond project for the City of Manor, a contractor accidentally cut a water main which forced the City of Manor cutoff water until repairs could be made. All residents using City of Manor water will need to boil their water until further notice. The boil water notice does not include Shadowglen, Bell Farms, Carriage Hills, Briarcreek, or Stonewater. There has been a water main break on north Bastrop Street. Once water service is restored you will need to boil your water until further notice. This excludes Shadowglen, Presidential Meadows, Stonewater, Bell Farms & Carriage Hills. You will receive another notification when the boil water notice is lifted.

As many of you are aware, Hurricane Ike is headed towards Texas and may or may not cause severe weather in our area. It is best to be prepared for the worst-case scenario because hurricanes are very unpredictable and can significantly change course at any time. It is also important to remember that Highway 290 is an evacuation route and traffic is expected to increase significantly over the next 12 hours.
