As many of you are aware, Hurricane Ike is headed towards Texas and may or may not cause severe weather in our area. It is best to be prepared for the worst-case scenario because hurricanes are very unpredictable and can significantly change course at any time. It is also important to remember that Highway 290 is an evacuation route and traffic is expected to increase significantly over the next 12 hours.
